Chefs Bring Culinary Innovation to Paris ISD Cafeterias

Paris ISD is excited to announce a new partnership that will bring fresh, innovative ideas to school meals. Professional chefs with Walker Quality Services are visiting the district to consult with student nutrition staff, ensuring that meals served meet national nutrition standards while also being delicious and appealing to students.
As part of this initiative, the chefs will provide hands-on training to Paris ISD cafeteria teams. Staff members will learn new culinary techniques designed to enhance flavor, presentation, and variety in school meals. The goal is to create a cafeteria experience that excites students and encourages healthy eating.
“Paris ISD is committed to innovation and excellence for all students, and that includes the meals we serve,” Student Nutrition Director Rachel Caywood. “We want our cafeterias to be places where students look forward to eating, and this partnership will help us make that vision a reality.”
Through this collaboration, Paris ISD continues its mission of supporting the whole child—nourishing both minds and bodies with care, quality, and creativity.
